Dentist in Alton - Gentle Dental Care
Welcome to Gentle Dental Care. We aim to be one of the best dental practice in Hampshire, providing high-quality dental treatment at a reasonable price
Our dental practice has a reputation for its friendliness and high quality of work. Indeed, the majority of our new patients come on recommendation from others; and since we're expanding, we are always happy to welcome new patients.
Our dental nurses all double as receptionists. This means that they understand a patient’s concerns throughout the whole course of treatment, and they aim to make your visit as happy and efficient as possible.
Gentle Dental Care is also conveniently situated in close proximity to several car parks and the railway station.
Did you know that we have a sister dental surgery in Lindford, Bordon, if you feel visiting this surgery is more convenient – please see under the ‘Find Us’ tab for the address and the telephone number to make an appointment to see Dr Karan Kaur at this surgery.
Dr Karan Kaur and Dr Galina Kilmova are highly experienced general dental surgeons who, along with their staff of experienced... Read More >>

REOPENING POST COVID-19
The whole country has been through a lot over the last few months, and we at Gentle Dental Care are all looking forward to resuming our normal activities. While lots of things have changed, one thing remains constant: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been of prime importance at Gentle Dental Care, as you will have seen during your appointments over the years. Our infection control processes are designed so that your dental care is both safe and comfortable. Below are some of the procedures that we have in place to ensure that you will always receive the highest quality care. As always, our practice conforms to all the regulations and guidelines that are published by the official healthcare bodies in England.
You may see a few changes when it is time for your next appointment. We have made the following changes to help protect our patients and staff.
We will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. We will phone you to update your medical history and gain your consent for treatment during the pandemic
You will be asked some of those same questions again when you attend for you appointment
On arrival, please could you wait in your car/outside the practice and call the practice number
Practice door would be locked, and entry is by pre booked appointments only.
At your appointment time we will invite you into the practice. We will check your temperature with contactless thermometer and if the temperature recorded is above 37.8oC, you will be unable to enter the clinic and will be asked to return home and self-isolate as per current government guidelines
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients
For the same reason please could you attend the practice alone unless you are bringing a child for their appointment
Please could you limit the number of belongings that you bring to your appointment e.g. bags, coats etc which we will ask you to place in a plastic container
We have installed a temporary Perspex screen in our reception area
We will ask you to use hand sanitiser when you enter the practice and don a face mask
During this period, the waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys, etc., since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect
The new scheduling system may mean that we will be able to offer you a smaller range of appointment options to choose from
Our toilets are currently closed, please could you use the toilet before leaving home
Please brush your teeth before coming for your appointment
We will ask you to make prepayment of the treatment by BACS
There may be additional charge for PPE depending upon the treatment provided.
We are happy to answer any questions that you may have about the procedures described above which are designed to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to seeing you again.
